My Dear XLRI

Were supposed to come up with something worth news,
About an Event At XL so as to show your "talent" and "views".
Talent to judge,if whats penned seems to impress,
And views to check the sanity of your address.

But life here has been a myriad of events and of ritual,
Thus I express my thoughts here, in a way unusual.
So I'll write what u want,something "newsworthy",
Discuss all the enigmas, from Gango Devta to Paul Fy.

Well it all started with Bhasad, seniors burning with a rage to fight,
Came next was heavenly forgiveness and showers of absolution,
With a Drunken party that lasted all night.

It Was a crazy to see the Gango Puja, the God of balls and urns,
The temple of the mess was packed with worshippers,
With the high priest as a senior and sacrificial toppers taking turns.

Maxi Bazaar was a great experience, learning the values of team work.
We struggled the whole energy-sapping night,Only to be fooled by our seniors,
Watch them in the Prabhu hall, dance and go beserk.

But what struck me most was the strength of the student link,
Of SAC, PLACECOMM and all the others that i can think.
So I took interest & took the pains to jot down this piece,
And post it on my blog for its unanticipated release.

Seclusion

The world is a place of crime and fear,
Global Catastrophy,the doom is near.
Thickening feeling,feeling thickening,
Self tormentation,tormentation divine.
Twister of feelings swirls around your eyes,
You cannot do what your heart desires.

All needed is seclusion from time,
To leave the worries far behind..

Our universe is being torn apart,
By evil forces at the bottom of the heart.
Ambitions shattered,dreams devastated,
Devastated desires,what a sinful crime !
The fire of pain burns in your eyes,
But hear you, your heart's woeful cries??

All needed is seclusion from time,
To leave your sorrow far, far behind...

Nowhere to Escape

Twisted and tormented,
Been through a mental rape.
Where do I run now??
When there's nowhere to escape.

The harsh sun beats down on me,
Steel,steel,Hot steel is my paradise.
The bird of prey casts its eye on me,
There, I see my own demise.

Hungry and starved,
Waiting for manna to come.
Nowhere to escape now,
Nowhere to run..

For My love Far Away

The self feels vitalized,
Wonder if I had a dream.
Thoughts flowed in my mind,
Like a paper boat in a stream.

Across the stream were you, my love,
Playing & splashing the water so pure.
Rays of sun kissed your face in delight.
Drops of water on your lips, slashed them in colours Vibgyor.

Your lips so moist beckon me to swim across,
And hold my love as there is no tomorrow.
Run along the stream to a heaven beyond,
Far from this life of separation and sorrow.

Bare shall be our bodies, for bare are our minds,
For each other in this eternal act of love.
When this joyless ocean that keeps us apart,
Will be parted by the Divine power above.

The act of Moses shall repeat once again,
I would run along the ocean floor to thee.
My dream thus breaks, but my faith holds strong,
For you to live, love and die with me.

(For you, I wait...)

Racism in America

The plague of Racism is a danger that haunted most lands,
More so America through its existence as one of the free nations.
Has it changed after the heyday of Civil Rights Movement?
Many pundits have offered opinions, explanations and accusations.

But is there truly an accurate picture of the perspective of these racists?
Are they simply hateful and nothing more?
The modern equivalent to the KKK of old continues to exist,

Who once proclaimed "Segregation Forever" and screamed bloody gore.

Why then don't the politicians and the law makers take definitive actions?
The sad truth is that they themselves give an edge to certain factions.
Affirmative Action is a law that separates races and causes the country to divide,
They stir up a social storm instead of controlling the rising tide.

Racism is deeply rooted and so is animosity amongst races,
But no one will let the issue dissolve, it is promoted on a daily basis.
Quell the threat of a civil war, already open are the flood gates,
Let not the plague of racism ruin your prosperity,Wake up United States!

War We Must Love

We are the leeches and worms,
Within us all are the Satanic Spawns.
Rot we here, as we shall rot in hell,
Rejoice we must, as destruction dawns.

The stockpile of weapons can make our planet fry,
Our thrill to kill has left our brothers to die.
The lonely river of good in humanity runs dry,
For us, God is a Myth, and Heaven's a lie.

Utopia

Somewhere I know ,
I have learnt.
Women tortured
And crosses burnt.

The evil forces
Are on the prowl.
Blood wets them,
As they howl.

Where do I,
Go from here??
All I see is..
Dark and fear.

Men lying cold
On the street.
Children crying,
Beside their feet.

Await the doom,
The rising tide.
No place to run,
No place to hide.

No place to hide,
No place to hide..
